At Not Normal Photography, our Portrait & Creative Photography experiences give you the opportunity to do both. From families, couples and individual portraits to more artistic studio photography, each experience is professionally directed and created around the people in front of our camera.

Our Portrait Photography Experience is for individuals, couples and families who want beautiful, professionally crafted photographs of the people and relationships that matter most. It might be time to update the family portraits, celebrate an anniversary or milestone, capture your child's personality at this particular age, include a much-loved pet, or simply create photographs of yourself or the people you love.

You don't need to know how to pose or what to do in front of the camera. We'll guide you through the entire session, helping with positioning, expression and interaction while keeping the experience relaxed and enjoyable. The goal is to create portraits that feel natural and personal while still having the polish and quality of professional photography.

But if you're looking for something a little less traditional, our Creative Photography Experience takes individual portraiture in a more artistic direction. Using specialized creative lighting, controlled shadows, intentional posing and strong composition, we create bold, distinctive portraits where the photography itself becomes part of the experience.

Rather than relying on multiple outfits, backgrounds or elaborate sets to create variety, Hayley works with changes in light, shadow, expression, pose, angle, composition and framing. The lighting is developed specifically around the individual and precisely adjusted throughout the session to complement their features, clothing, positioning and movement.

Both experiences take place in our purpose-built Langley studio and include professionally retouched digital images as well as a $150 Artwork Credit toward eligible professionally printed artwork.
